tennessee map“Stage Left Catering…never heard of them.”  We realize that you may not be aware of our stellar reputation, and we welcome this opportunity to introduce ourselves.

Our "little" company is now entering its seventeenth year, and we continue to be a stand out throughout the entertainment industry in Nashville.  That’s because Stage Left Catering is owned and operated by dedicated and exceptional chef, Jim LeClaire, with more than 40 years experience in high profile catering throughout the United States.  Stage Left Catering isn’t just his business or his livelihood - it’s his passion, and that passion is unmistakably present at every event.  It’s reflected in every morsel and every minute detail.

Jim began his “Nashville career” at the 4-Star-rated Old Hickory restaurant in the Opryland Hotel.  He continued at Opryland as a Sous Chef, Butcher Shop Supervisor, and certified instructor for their Culinary Arts program.  He served as Kitchen Supervisor for the set-up and grand opening of the Hard Rock Café in Nashville before pursuing location catering full-time.  For eight years he traveled the United States catering for movie production crews.  When he returned to Nashville as chef of local operations for a prominent Nashville caterer, he was solely responsible for all catering at the Starwood Amphitheatre venue as well as special location events throughout the Southeast.

So although you might not recognize the name “Stage Left Catering”, you could easily recognize the man behind the company.  He has innumerable “credits” to his name.  Some of his favorite productions include Random Hearts, Remember the Titans, That Thing You Do, and 16 Blocks.  Jim also has “local” folks who’ve had the pleasure of his services, including Ronnie Dunn, Kix Brooks, Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire and a host of musical talent as caterer for the Starwood Amphitheatre as well as the world-famous Ryman Auditorium.  In May 2006, the production for James Taylor at the Ryman said Stage Left Catering provided “the best catering they had experienced on this tour…or any other.”  Jim certainly doesn’t limit himself to musical talent and movies.  He’s also dabbled in some television productions catering for Paula Deen, Trading Spaces, and the sets of Ed as well as Sex and the City.

So remember, when you need a little “Star Treatment”, give us a call.  We’d love the opportunity to dazzle you!!
